Rekindle those good times when music is so meaningful that it could actually touch your innermost emotion. Alan Jackson will be at Cruzan Amphitheatre to serenade you with his soulful songs on December 01, 2012. Be there at 4:00 PM.
Having a fascination on country music with a storehouse of honky tonk classics in his collection, Alan Jackson has been a consummate singer and songwriter specializing in this genre. His debut album, “Here in the Real World” released in 1990 obtained a remarkable success that made Jackson one of the best country artists along with Randy Travis, Clint Black, Travis Tritt and Garth Brooks. After that, another two of his albums, “Don’t Rock the Jukebox” (1991) and “A Lot About Livin’ (and a Little ‘Bout Love)” (1992) both set off as Number One singles. “Summer Time Blues”, “Gone Country”, “Tall, Tall Trees” and “Little Bitty” are also among his finest songs. Jackson has been acclaimed with more than 45 awards from organizations like the Academy of Country Music (ACM) and the Country Music Association (CMA).
Jackson’s “Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning)” is a heartfelt song created to honour those lost in September 11 terrorist attacks, earned him his well-deserved first Grammy Award for Best Country Song. That same year, he gained four CMA Awards, making him equal with Johny Cash as the most CMA wins in a year.
His sensitively-written songs are something anyone can relate to. Start your December right by coming to this show with your whole family! Don’t delay buying tickets or you’ll be sorry.
