This legendary band rose to prominence upon dropping their sophomore effort, Toulouse Street. The 1972 album entered the Billboard 200, as well as the international charts. It eventually sold over a million copies in the U.S., making it the band’s first platinum-certified album. The Doobie Brothers moved on to release several more groundbreaking efforts, including their career-defining 1978 release, Minute by Minute. The Doobie Brothers sold over 40 million albums worldwide and were later inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
